Diwali, or Dipawali, is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa). It is celebrated on a new moon night sometime in the months of October and November or you can say this festival of lights observed on the 15th day of the month of Kartika in the Hindu calendar. Depavali is gazetted holiday in India. Followers of Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism .

The word Diwali means 'rows of lighted .It is marked with firework displays and family feasts, Diwali, is a five-day festival celebrated by millions of people across the world every Autumn. The festival is observed by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains, with its main theme the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
